The Semeando Gerações app was created to offer Christian content for reflection and family education. This page explains, in simple terms, what we do and what we do not do with the data of people who use the app.
The app works normally without any registration. If you wish, you can sign in with your Google or Apple account (social login, with no password of its own) so that your game scores, the content you have already read and your poll votes are saved and are not lost when you change devices or reinstall the app. When you sign in, we only store your name and email address (the email may not be shared, depending on your account) — nothing else.
Some games in the app have a ranking with the highest scores. If you are signed in and play one of these games, your best score appears in the ranking for other players, identified only by your first name and the initial of your last name (for example, "Mary S.") — never your full name or your email address.
If you prefer not to appear, turn off the "Show me in game rankings" option in the "Profile" tab of the app ("About" tab in earlier versions of the app). You will still see your own position, but other players will only see you as "Anonymous player". People who are not signed in do not appear in the ranking.
If you signed in, you can delete your account and all data linked to it (game scores, reading history, poll votes) at any time, directly in the app:
Deletion is immediate and permanent — we do not keep a copy after it is deleted. Questions about this process can be sent to contato@semeandogeracoes.net.
Content marked as "Favorites" or "Watched" — when you are not signed in — is saved locally on your phone. This information is not sent to any server and we have no access to it.
If you allow notifications, the app registers a technical identifier for your device (push token) so it can send you notices — such as new content. If you are signed in, this identifier is linked to your account so that we can notify you about your Checkers and Chess games (for example, when someone joins your room or when it is your turn to play). When you sign out, this link is removed. The identifier is not used for any other purpose.
We use Google Analytics (Firebase) to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used — for example, which content and games are accessed most, how many people open the app and from which region. We do not collect the Advertising Identifier (AAID) and we do not use this information for advertising or for tracking across other apps or websites.
Because the app fetches content (stories, prayers, Bible passages, quizzes) from our server, your IP address and basic connection information pass through that server while you use it — this is inherent to any app that uses the internet and is not stored for personal identification purposes.
Some content may include embedded videos from Instagram or YouTube. When you play these videos inside the app, Meta (Instagram) and Google (YouTube) may collect data according to their own privacy policies, independently of this app.
The app is intended for family use, including content for children, always under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Signing in (when done) is an action taken by the parent or guardian, is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children beyond what is described above. The parent or guardian can, at any time, turn off the display in game rankings or delete the account, as explained above.
